Niamh Bury is one of the hottest upcoming Irish folk performers at the moment. She has come to the attention of her peers in recent years performing with the likes of Myles O’Reilly, Ye Vagabonds and Dermot Kennedy. She is one of the founders of the singing session “The Night That Larry Got Stretched” in The Cobblestone in Dublin something she was inspired to do after a visit to the Inishowen Singers Circle about 10 years ago. In a happy coincidence the Inishowen singers visit the Singing Festival this year with their documentary “It’s A Fine Thing To Sing” on Friday 20th.
She’s worth watching as she brings her modern sensibility and beautiful songwriting to Drimoleague. See her before she goes global.
